Cups of gold

 

Spring proper is announced in gold. 
A sudden scattered carpet of sunward cups,
like mini arrays gathering waves or is it particles?
Of energy and joy that the earth is warming.

Greeted by eager insects, and grazers alike

and wanderers too, 

who have been starved too long of Spring.
