Summer fall
Summer Fall.
I adore your golden lazy hazy light.
Your copper carpet and green rustling canopy.
Your bands of silvery mist slung low across chilled morning meadows.
Your hedges studded with sweet treats and bright garlands of fruits.
Rosy apples and hard shiny conkers.
Chittering squirrels and elusive jays.
Woodsmoke, crisp leaves and the comfort to know I am home again.
