Spring Equinox
False promises of an indecisive Spring.
Stop start. Stop. Start.
A glistening morning walk with Jack Frost kisses, moseys on into a rapidly discarding glove and scarf lunchtime.
A day full of brave butterflies and sunlight, is followed by grey gloom and bed socks.
One day is all about bumblebees and blossoms and the next is rain and central heating.
A yo-yo spring….still winter….now spring…hah fooled you….here, have a portion of winter again.
Warm earth and tender first leaves, boom! Overnight frost with side order of cracked hands.
I’m just staying inside until it’s made up its mind. Watching my wise old oak who has seen this dance before. He knows it’s best to bide time and not be fooled by fickle spring promises.
